Venus in Furs : the gynarchist edition !
Severin wants to become the slave of a woman wearing furs. Wanda accepts to play this role, seeming shocked and hesitant. But which of the two protagonists really is the toy of the other: Severin, the manipulated manipulator, or Wanda, the sexually free and modern woman ?
This new edition of Venus in Furs of Sacher-Masoch differs from the previous by 3D color illustrations and by the new vision that the famous writer Aline Arbrant gives us of the novel and of the heroin. First by her illuminating introduction, then by the new epistolary novel that follows the text: “Saphine’s Letters to Wanda” that allows us to see Wanda as a lesbian discovering gynarchy through the masochism of Severin.
Note : Text of Venus in Furs is inchanged and always in the original version. Only the introduction and the wonderful Saphine’s Letters to Wanda of Aline d’Arbrant give another signification to the work !
La Vénus à la Fourrure : l’édition gynarchiste !
Séverin n’a qu’une obsession, devenir l’esclave de la femme aimée. Il entreprend de convaincre Wanda de jouer ce rôle. Celle-ci hésite, se disant à la fois choquée et attirée par l’expérience. Mais lequel des deux protagonistes est-il au fond le jouet de l’autre, Séverin, le manipulateur manipulé, ou Wanda, la libertine à la trouble sexualité ?
Cette nouvelle édition de La Vénus à la fourrure se distingue des précédentes par des illustrations 3D en couleur qui transmettent au lecteur un peu plus de l’atmosphère suprasensuelle que dégage le texte, s’il est possible. La lecture qu’ Aline d’Arbrant nous fait de ce roman, d’abord par son introduction éclairante, puis par la nouvelle épistolaire qui le suit, Lettres de Saphine à Wanda, lance le lecteur sur une autre piste que celle suivie habituellement.
